Why I Teach

Thoughts: May 9, 2016

It’s been almost seven days since I last taught a yoga class. Sometimes even being gone for a week I have to get my bearings straight. I walked into my normally scheduled Monday routine of teaching class and I couldn’t have been happier.  Six years ago I never thought for one day I’d become a yoga teacher and truly love it. I never had this idea that I would be famous or make a ton of money (If you do, think twice, you’re in the wrong industry). I started teaching training on accident and I was actually a bad student at the beginning. The people who were leading me saw something different. They knew I had this something in me that needed to come out. As I left my last class this evening, I gave around twenty or so hugs, hung out at the desk and chatted with my students and it reminded me why I love doing what I do. I love the connection to people, being able to share knowledge and guide people into their bodies is truly a gift that isn’t worth any dollar amount.

See you on the mat. Much love and good vibes.
