More work, less play. More work, less rest. More work, less time.

We are living in an unhealthy state of being… a state of survival. This heightened activity is a human made construct that tells us to DO MORE while offering ourselves LESS. We know this. We feel it in our minds. We feel it in our bodies. Overworked and malnourished… And yet we don’t do anything about it. We don’t know how to break from the cycle…

Join me in an offering to break the cycle. 

Over a 2 day weekend intensive, we’ll explore practices that slow down our nervous systems in order to access genuine rest and deep nourishment. Learn how to counter suffering while relieving the stress of negativity on your body’s health and functionality. This is an offering to learn nidra, restore, meditation, pranayama, and philosophy that will reset the nervous system and turn off the negative mind’s internal dialogue that tells you don’t deserve this nourishment. These are deliberate practices that calm our overactive bodies and minds. Gain knowledge and understanding of how and why these practices work on the body, specifically the immune system and nervous system. Feed your soul the nourishment it deserves. This is your gift.

Each session will be 4 hours a day and we will discover:

  • Nidra: Techniques to reset/”nourish” the nervous system. 
  • Restorative Yoga: A guided slow morning flow to start our day. Learn the value of nourishing movement on the body.
  • Philosophy: A break down of 6-7 restorative poses. 
  • Meditation: Access self-care in a way that reframes what it means to have a mental tune up. Mentally unwind to give yourself time to nourish your body.
  • Yoga Philosophy: Use meditation to break your resistance to self-care. Break the pattern of survival.
  • Pranayama: breathing techniques to reset the human response and reaction to balance negative energy in the body. These practices support the immune system.
  • 60 Minute self massage practice

 

This course qualifies for credit as CEU’s through Yoga Alliance.

Workshop Return Policy

Full payment is required to reserve a space in workshops. All workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made two weeks or more prior to workshop start date will be issued store credit. No store credit will be given for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to workshop start date. YogaWorks is not responsible for any costs incurred for travel arrangements or accommodations related to this event.
